Seribu Islands Regency prepares free lodging and dining facilities for tourists who are affected by bad weather in Seribu Islands during Christmas and New Year holidays.

Seribu Islands Vice Regency, Junaedi mentioned, ships that are carrying tourists may not be able to dock to the main island when bad weather occurs. As the result, tourists had to return and stay temporarily on the previous island where they stayed.

"Therefore we'll prepare free lodging and dining. We should not abandon any tourist on the island," he asserted, Tuesday (12/18).

He also reminds taxi boats owners to provide life jackets for the passengers and not to transport passengers beyond ship's capacity.

Meanwhile, Seribu Islands Port Authorities (KSOP) Office Head, Herbert Marpaung admitted that his side has coordinated with PT. PELNI and ASDP to add more ship departure schedules for KM Sabuk Nusantara 66.

'Its schedule must be more added to transport passengers from ships that have exceeded the capacity to the land," he stated.
