Swiss Company Involved in PKB Management

Jakarta Provincial Government cooperates with a Swiss company to do assessment on motor vehicle KIR test (PKB) management. The company is chosen because of its international experiences and trusted by several countries to conduct KIR test, such as Albania, Argentina, and United Kingdom.

Mr. Vice Governor earlier had given appreciation and instructed to immediately hold beauty contest for PKB management. So, we’re trying to do that

“Mr. Vice Governor earlier had given appreciation and instructed to immediately hold beauty contest for PKB management. So, we’re trying to do that,” stated Head of Jakarta Transportation Department, M Akbar, Tuesday (8/12).

Moreover, Akbar admitted that the design of ideal KIR test has not been discussed yet in the first meeting. But based on the survey done by the company, PKB centers in Jakarta are already over capacity. Therefore, new testing machines are needed.

Basuki Threatened to Shut Down PKB Center

“Indeed (the testing machines are) not enough. Just imagine, from five PKB centers in Jakarta, two of them have been closed,” he expressed.

Those five PKB centers are Kedaung Kaliangke (West Jakarta), Jagakarsa, (South Jakarta), Ujung Menteng (East Jakarta), Pulogadung (East Jakarta), and Cilincing (North Jakarta). The first two PKB centers have been closed now.
