Pari Island to Celebrate New Year with Culinary Festival

Culinary Festival is ready to enliven New Year's Eve in Pari Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands Sub-district, Seribu Islands. 

This festival is to strengthen silaturahmi among citizens and to welcome New Year's Eve

It will be concentrated on the yard of the local urban village office.

Seribu Islands to Hold Joint Prayers on New Year's Eve

Pari Island Urban Village Head, Surahman said that various kinds of culinary will be sold from the produce of the earth and sea from Lancang Island such as, sweet potato porridge, breadfruit tea, cassava compote, breadfruit chips, green beans, pacar cina (local dessert), peyek ikan (small-fry chips), fish meatballs, chicken meatballs, black sticky rice cakes, fish crackers, fish crackers, and various fish grilled fish.

"This festival is to strengthen silaturahmi among citizens and to welcome New Year's Eve. We also have arts and cultural performances here," he expressed, Monday (12/31).

There will also be fundraising actions for victims of the Sunda Strait tsunami in Banten and Lampung.

"Alhamdulillah, we managed to collect donation by Rp 3,555,000. This is an additional aid besides the six sacks of clothes that have been collected by Pari Island Karang Taruna youth members," he stated.
