Dukcapil Creates New Innovation to Accelerate Administration Service

Jakarta Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) Department will provide digital signature system that records each sub-department heads' signatures to accelerate population administration service, especially that relates with birth certificate and death certificate.

Now, it can be processed in one day

"This way, residents who want to apply for certificate just need to come to local urban village office and administrators in urban village and Dukcapil sector heads will process it," said Jakarta Dukcapil Department Head, Dhany Sukma, Monday (1/21).

Usually it takes five days to process birth certificate and death certificate in sub-department office.

"Now, it can be processed in one day because we give a mandate for sub-district level to handle it and also the digital signature system," he mentioned.

Besides birth certificate and death certificate, residents can propose other related documents such as Children Identity Card (KIA) or updated Family Card (KK).
