Pay Attention, TransJakarta Bus Corridor I and II Diverted Tomorrow

As reported before, some road lanes will be closed tomorrow, Sunday (8/17), coincides with Indonesia’s Independence Day ceremony at the State Palace. Thus, the traffic will be diverted, including the operational of TransJakarta bus corridor I (Blok M–Kota) and II (Pulogadung–Harmoni).

Road closure will be applied twice at 5-12 AM and 2-7 PM. During that time, TransJakarta bus routes will be diverted

“Road closure will be applied twice at 5-12 AM and 2-7 PM. During that time, TransJakarta bus routes will be diverted,” stated Head of Jakarta Transportation Department, M Akbar, Saturday (8/16).

For TransJakarta bus corridor I, the bus coming from Jalan MH Thamrin will be diverted to turn left to Jalan Budi Kemuliaan – Jalan Abdul Muis – Jalan Majapahit (west side) – Harmoni – so on.

Independence Day Ceremony, City Applies Traffic Diversion

As for the bus coming from Kota, in Harmoni it will be diverted to Jalan Juanda – Jalan Pos – Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara – Jalan Pejambon – Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur – Jalan Ridwan Rais – turn at Tugu Tani – Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan – Jalan MH Thamrin – so on. The bus will not pass Monas Bus Stop.

For TransJakarta bus corridor II, the bus coming from Senen Bus Stop will be diverted to RSPAD Bus Stop – Deplu Bus Stop – Jalan Pejambon – turn left to Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur – Ridwan Rais – turn at Tugu Tani – Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan – Jalan Budi Kemuliaan – Jalan Abdul Muis – Jalan Majapahit – Harmoni. The bus will not pass Gambir 1, Istiqlal, Juanda, and Pecenongan bus stops.

As for the bus coming from Central Harmoni Bus Stop, it will be diverted to turn left to Jalan H Juanda – Jalan Pos – Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara – Jalan Pejambon – Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur – Jalan Ridwan Rais – Kwitang Bus Stop – Senen Bus Stop – so on. The bus will not pass Monas and Gambir 2 bus stops.

While for other TransJakarta bus corridors which affected by the road closure, Akbar told that his department will conduct arrangement based on the situation in the field.

“We’ve done socialization in every TransJakarta bus stop regarding this traffic diversion. The passengers are urged to adjust to it,” he uttered.
