Betawi Kemayoran Studio Participates in Preserving Betawi Culture

The Betawi Kemayoran Studio (Saberan) becomes one of the preferred name for the community which wants to continue to preserve Betawi culture and art, especially through trainings for children and teenagers.

The studio itself is established by a founder, Deni Saputra (30). Together with other young people in the local environment, they worked together to hold Betawi cultural arts training in the Bandar Kemayoran Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA), Jalan Kemoyaran Ketapang, RW 08, Kebon Kosong Urban Village, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

He hoped that his studio could foster a love of Betawi cultural arts from an early age.

Saberan Secretary, Nenden Fabrissa added that he felt grateful about support from the Central Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency to provide martial arts trainers.
"This March, the agency will also send training instructor," he told.
While, one of the officers of the Bandar Kemayoran RPTRA, Aisyah said, the activities initiated by Saberan makes RPTRA more crowded and many positive activities.
"We're very grateful, the concern for Betawi culture in Kemayoran is still high," she said.
