Again, Police Found Marijuana in Unas Campus

South Jakarta Metro Resort Police and National Narcotics Agency (BNN) once again found marijuana weighted 3.6 kilograms in National University (Unas), Jalan Asem, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, Tuesday (8/19).

We received a letter from Unas to assist the investigation by bring down sniffer dogs. As a result, we found 3.6 kilograms of marijuana

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, the team arrived at Unas Campus around 10 AM. Accompanied by two sniffer dogs, they immediately went to Block 3 at the back of the campus. The first room searched was the library. In there, they found a black bag contained marijuana. Amd behind bamboo trees, the officers found a white plastic bag also contained marijuana as well as a bong and a digital scale.

From Block 3, the team went to Block 4. In this location, precisely in Music Student’s Activity Unit (UKM) in front of Krem Studio, they found more marijuana. The search lasted until 2 PM.

“We received a letter from Unas to assist the investigation by bring down sniffer dogs. As a result, we found 3.6 kilograms of marijuana,” stated Jakarta BNN Eradication Division, AKBP Almas Arrasuli.

In addition, Pasar Minggu Sector Police Chief Adri Desas disclosed that one person is taken to South Jakarta Metro Resort Police to be questioned intensively.

“Last week we questioned eight witnesses, four of them are suspected. Today, only one person questioned intensively,” he told.

Meanwhile, Head of Unas Public Bureau, Abdul Malik, said that National University welcomes the officers to conduct thorough examination in the campus.

“We want (the campus) totally clean and not even a room used to store drugs. We will try to filter the students and staffs from drugs,” he uttered.
