East Jakarta to Build 5,758 Street Lights

As many as 128 activities were proposed by East Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-Department to Jakarta Provincial Government Goods and Services Procurement Unit (ULP). From that amount, 60 activities have been approved.

“There are 128 activities proposed, but only 60 of them approved by ULP. The approved activities consist of 19 maintenance packages and 41 physical packages which include 15 packages resulted from development planning deliberation and 26 packages come from public aspirations,” stated Head of East Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-Department, Tuti Kurniati, Tuesday (8/19).

From 15 packages resulted from development planning deliberation, Kurniati continued, her party will build 2,302 street lights (PJU). While from packages come from public aspirations, as many as 3,456 street lights will be built in 10 sub-districts.

“So, a total of 5,758 street lights will be built in 65 urban villages in East Jakarta, with budget reaching Rp 16 billion. The construction will be started tomorrow, August 20,” she told.

In addition, Kurniati informed that the budget for 19 maintenance packages is Rp 5.7 billion. She hopes the remaining 68 activities would be approved soon by Jakarta ULP.
