Disnakertrans Provides Trainings to Cipinang Penitentiary's Inmates

Inmates will be trained for 30 days

Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Department (Disnakertrans) cooperates with Cipinang Penitentiary, East Jakarta, to facilitate Cipinang Penitentiary's inmates through training given by Mobile Training Unit (MTU). This unit provides various trainings for inmates regarding automotive engineering, air conditioner service, cooking, fashion, and computer operator skills.

"We want them to have some skills that can support them when they get out from jail," mentioned Andri Yansyah, Jakarta Disnakertrans Head, Monday (3/18).

There are 20 inmates who joined in automotive engineering training, 20 inmates in air conditioner training, 10 inmates in cooking training, 10 inmates in fashion training, and 10 inmates in computer operator training.

"Inmates will be trained for 30 days. But we are welcoming any of them who wants to continue training for 45 days in East Jakarta Job Training Center thus can gain more knowledge and skills," he stated.

His side hopes this training can make them easier in getting job or becoming entrepreneur in the future.

Setio Pambudi (52), inmate who joins automotive engineering training admitted this training really helps him who wish to open motorcycle workshop.

"Alhamdulillah, I can obtain a lot of knowledge here. Hopefully, this skill can help me to improve my well-being," he expressed.

Cipinang Class 1 Penitentiary Head, Hendra Eka Putra appreciates Jakarta Disnakertrans for facilitating inmates to get job skills.

"This training is very useful for them and also their families," he conveyed.
