Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan conducts a declaration of the city's 429nd anniversary in O park, Cibubur Urban Village, Ciracas, East Jakarta. It takes theme " New Face of Jakarta".

According to him, there are many changes seen in Jakarta such as operation of MRT Jakarta, crossing bridge (JPO) with unique design, wider sidewalk, integrated public transportation, etc.

"We want the novelty to begin from the mind to the action," he expressed, Saturday (4/27). 

Aside that Jakarta Provincial Government is intensifying the presence of a third room that can be used by the community to interact and carry out various positive activities.

"It has been greatly felt by the community," he told.

During declaration, he also inaugurates the O park, which is rich in philosophical values such as togetherness and unity.

"Here we have a literacy corner, you can bring children to have more reading habits in order to achieve success in the future," he stressed.

Besides at provincial level, its declaration is also done simultaneously in five cities and Thousand Islands.

In details, it is held under Sudirman Station, Menteng Urban Village, Menteng Sub-district (Central Jakarta), in Kembangan RPTRA, Kembangan Utara Urban Village, Kembangan Sub-district (West Jakarta), Asakinah Taman Maju Bersama, Kebagusan Urban Village (South Jakarta), in Kampung Aquarium, as well as on Untung Jawa Island, Thousand Islands.

Talk about city logo, it is symbolized by icons showing the new face of Jakarta and the colors that symbolize the future, professionalism, trust, friendliness, cultural culture, nature, faith, and courage to change, which synergize with the community to display the new face of Jakarta.

It has a philosophy that includes, various forms with interconnected multiple colors that is symbolizing mutual continuity, symbolizing the plurality of Jakartans who join hands to work together to implement a series of sustainable development programs.

Then Kendal Tunnel silhouette, located on Jalan Kendal, which used to look slum, but now it has been renovated into a city icon. Then the Integrated Moda Raya silhouette is the newest transportation method that is more modern, high capacity and environmentally friendly.

Further there is Senayan JPO silhouette, which is a new icon of the city of Jakarta, updating the JPO with a design to represent the new face of Jakarta, modern and dynamic. Monas Silhouette, as an icon of identity that has taken root in the City of Jakarta as an eyewitness to the progress of the city. There is also Betawi Mask Dancers silhouette, meaning that despite having a new face, Jakarta still does not forget the cultural roots of its ancestors.
