60 Damaged Roads in N. Jakarta Repaired

North Jakarta Road Public Works Sub-Department began to repair 60 damaged roads in North Jakarta by spending Rp 32 billion. Its repair is targeted to be completed by the end of November.

The repair which has been ongoing since a week ago is centered on Jalan Dukuh, Jalan Cemara, Jalan Walang Baru, Kecamatan Koja, Jalan Cilincing Bakti Raya, Jalan Malaka Baru, Cilincing, Jalan Kelapa Cengkir Raya, Jalan Gading Raya 4, Kelapa Gading, Jalan Pluit Dalam, Jalan Ekor Kuning, Jalan Pluit Timur Raya, Penjaringan, Jalan Kedondong Raya, Jalan Sungai Bambu Raya, Jalan Kembang Sereh, Tanjung Priok, and Jalan Pademangan 1 Gg. 16, Jalan Pademangan 4, Jalan Ancol 3, Pademangan.
Head of North Jakarta Road Public Works Sub-Department, Monang Ritonga disclosed his sub-department keeps accelerating road repair located in six sub-districts. "For damaged roads are deserted from vehicle activity, we do repair at noon and night, as well as at 11 PM until morning in dense place," he expressed, Sunday (8/24). "To accelerate the repair, we divide our men into 4 teams," he furthered.
Damaged Roads in East Jakarta Starting to Be RepairedIn addition, he is currently also waiting for auction results of 78 other activity packages. It is hoped able to be processed as soon as possible thus road repair and upgrading could be carried out.
Those activity packages consist of road upgrading, bridge repair, and sidewalk construction. They would be focused on repairing Sunter Bridge, constructing sidewalk on Jalan Tipar Cakung and Kramat Jaya, as well as upgrading road on Jalan Kamal Muara 7, IV, Sungai Bambu 1 and 3, Jalan Metros Samper Barat, and Jalan Buntek in Penjaringan.
"I hope 31 out of 78 packages could already be launched next week. While the remaining 47 are still in evaluation process," he stated.
