The repair was hampered by erratic weather, thus the task force had to race with rain,” said Head of East Jakarta Road Public Works Sub-Department, Budi Apul Sinaga, Monday (6/9).

The damaged roads repaired are located in Cakung Sub-District (5 locations), Cipayung Sub-District (1 location), Duren Sawit Sub-District (18 locations), Jatinegara Sub-District (2 locations), Kramatjati Sub-District (1 location), Makasar Sub-District (3 locations), Matraman Sub-District (4 locations), Pasar Rebo Sub-District (4 locations), and Pulogadung Sub-District (5 locations).

Many Damaged Roads in East Jakarta Need Repair

According to Sinaga, the repair includes medium to heavy level damages which commonly caused by rain and over limit vehicle tonnage. His party also prioritized damaged roads repair based on the reports from the residents. But, he admitted there are still damaged roads to be repaired.

“The repair is adjusted to condition, either using concrete of asphalt. Hopefully, the residents could be patient. They are urged to report about damaged roads to task force at sub-district level as well as to sub-department, so the repair can be done quickly,” he stated.
