18,174 Bottles of Illegal Alcoholic Beverages Destroyed

I appreciate Jakarta Satpol PP's work for stopping illegal distribution of these 18,174 liquor bottles

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan led Satpol PP to destroy 18,174 bottles of illegal alcoholic beverages at Merdeka Square, Monas, Gambir, Central Jakarta.

It was done after obtaining decree from the district court in each Jakarta regions where the operation took place.

Hundreds Liquor Bottles Seized in Cipayung and Makasar Sub-districts

"I appreciate Jakarta Satpol PP's work for stopping illegal distribution of these 18,174 liquor bottles. This operation should be done continuously," he conveyed, Monday (5/27).

Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Arifin mentioned, liquor confiscation is done according to Governor Regulation (Pergub) No. 187/2014 about Controlling and Monitoring Alcoholic Beverages Selling, Trade Minister Regulation No. 6/2015 concerning the second amendment to Trade Minister Regulation No. 20/M-DAGg/PER/4/2014 about Control and Supervision of Procurement, Distribution and Sales of Alcoholic Beverages.

"Based on those regulations, we cooperate with TNI and police to control illegal alcoholic beverages distribution," he asserted.

He explained, his side has seized 1,150 liquor bottles in Central Jakarta; 600 bottles in West Jakarta; 2,454 bottles in South Jakarta; 6,108 bottles in East Jakarta and 2,462 bottles in North Jakarta.

"Similar operation also carried out in Thousand Islands but we found nothing," he added.
