Since January-July, North Jakarta Metro Resort Police Drugs Unit has uncovered 487 drug cases involving 657 suspects in North Jakarta, consisting 597 men and 60 women.

"Those drug dealers are from Malaysia, China, and Iran. Type of drug is dominated with crystal methamphetamine. They usually operate in Citra and Taman Surya Residential Complex," he stated.
Last year, he furthered, drug case has begun to decline. But this year, police found 990 drug cases and arrested 1,297 suspects, consisting of 1,213 men and 84 women. Police also confiscated 149,773.91 grams of marijuana, 415.38 grams of heroin, 125,97.78 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 7,537 pills of ecstasy and 3673.5 pills of psychotropic.
