Press PMKS Number, Field Officers’ Working Hour Increased

The amount of people with social welfare issues (PMKS) is increasing sharply in Central Jakarta post Eid ul Fitr. Until yesterday, Monday (8/25), it was recorded that as many as 184 PMKS have been netted by local Social Sub-Department. While in the same period last year, there were 121 PMKS netted.

We received many complaints from the residents who are restless with the presence of PMKS. That’s why starting next week we add two more hours of field officers’ working hour

To resolve the problem, Central Jakarta Social Sub-Department had to add the operational hour of officers in the field. If previously they were working from 7 AM until 9 PM, now they will be working until 11 PM.

“We received many complaints from the residents who are restless with the presence of PMKS. That’s why starting next week we add two more hours of field officers’ working hour,” stated Head of Central Jakarta Social Sub-Department, Marjito, Tuesday (8/26).

19 PMKS in C. Jakarta Netted

Meanwhile, Head of Services and Social Rehabilitations Section for Central Jakarta Social Sub-Department, Wanson Sinaga, said that currently there are 21 field officers ready to control PMKS in the municipality. They are spread in three PMKS-prone areas, namely on Jalan Karet Bivak (Tanah Abang Sub-District), Hotel Indonesia Roundabout (Menteng Sub-District), and Harmoni (Gambir Sub-District).

“We have 21 officers who are placed in PMKS-prone areas. Hopefully their presence would press the amount of PMKS in Central Jakarta,” he expressed.
