Newcomers Expected to Obey Population Administration Regulation

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan reminds newcomers to report about their arrival immediately to the local RT/RW administrators.

Newcomers who stay in Jakarta for more than 24 hours should report to the local RT/RW

"Newcomers who stay in Jakarta for more than 24 hours should report to the local RT/RW. They should register first if they want to stay in Jakarta longer. That is the regulation," he asserted, Monday (6/10).

He informed that Jakarta Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) Department is ready to serve newcomers who want to take care of their population documents.

Jakarta Dukcapil Department Head, Dhany Sukma ensures his side to provide service for all people, especially newcomers, to get population document.

"Both permanent and non-permanent population have rights to get their population documents," he mentioned.

In order to register newcomers in Jakarta, his side coordinates with local RT/RW administrators and Dasawisma groups in each regions.

"It is done to make sure population registration in Jakarta can run optimally," he conveyed.
