1,000 Personnel to Demolish Buildings in North Jakarta

As many as 1,000 joint personnel from Satpol PP, TNI, and police will be deployed on upcoming Saturday (8/20) to demolish the buildings stood on land lots affected by Priok Toll Access construction project in Kalibaru and Koja urban villages, North Jakarta.

 They are given time until Saturday to demolish their buildings themselves. Besides compensation, they are also offered to be relocated to flat

North Jakarta Administration Secretary, Junaedi, said there are five land lots in Kalibaru Urban Village and four land lots in Koja Urban Village affected by this project.

“Today we have given them (building owners) the demolition warrant (SPB). They are given time until Saturday to demolish their buildings themselves. Besides compensation, they are also offered to be relocated to flat,” he stated, Wednesday (8/27).

Buildings Demolishment on Land of Priok Toll Road Delayed

According to Junaedi, the demolition was initially scheduled today. But since there will be demolition in Putra-putri Park, Penjaringan, tomorrow, Thursday (8/28), the demolition in Kalibaru and Koja urban villages is decided to be postponed.

“Besides manpower, we’re also will be deploying two backhoes in Kalibaru Urban Village and one backhoe in Koja Urban Village. And to anticipate unwanted things, we’ll put an ambulance on standby,” he uttered.
