PT. MRT-ITDP Indonesia Signed MoU to Optimize Transit Oriented Development Area

PT. MRT Jakarta and Institute for Transportation & Development Policy (ITDP) Indonesia signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding study for transportation integration and optimization of pedestrian and bicycle connectivity along MRT corridor.

Hopefully, this transit oriented development area can be more friendly for pedestrians and bicycle users

Through this cooperation, PT. MRT Jakarta President Director, William Sabandar stated that his side wants to focus on developing facilities that prioritizes pedestrians and bicycle users.

"In this MoU, we also review about our strategy in providing first-mile and last mile connection using micro-mobility system, limiting private vehicles parking in transit oriented development area, and improving connectivity between transportation modes, pedestrians, and bicycle users," he explained, Thursday (7/11).

In the future, his side wants to involves citizens and government in realizing these plans, especially in facilitating pedestrians and bicycle users.

"Hopefully, this transit oriented development area can be more friendly for pedestrians and bicycle users," he expressed.
