Thousand Islands Promotes 'Ayo Menabung di Bank Sampah' Program

Thousand Islands Regency cooperates with national bank to encourage students reducing plastic waste through 'Ayo Menabung di Bank Sampah' program.

In order to stop habit of littering, we want to encourage students to save money by sorting and collecting waste to waste bank

Thousand Islands Assistant for Economy and Development (Asekbang), Iwan P. Samosir stated, this program educates students to save money by maintaining the environment clean.

Jakartans Encouraged to Implement Jakarta Bebas Sampah Movement

"In order to stop habit of littering, we want to encourage students to save money by sorting and collecting waste to waste bank. We will also build waste bank in every schools thus all students can participate in this program," he conveyed, Wednesday (7/17).

Students participating in this program will get passbook. When they are sorting and saving waste in waste bank, money will be sent automatically to their account. Every transaction will be recorded in their passbook.

"Next week, we will socialize it to 23 headmasters in Thousand Islands together with bank side," he asserted.
