City Introduces Jakarta History Through Hologram Exhibition at Monas

The Jakarta Tourism and Culture Agency has launched the Jakarta History Hologram Exhibition in 2019 Monas Week at the Auditorium of the National History Museum, Monas, Gambir, Central Jakarta.

Monas Week is a weekend of art and cultural exhibitions that showcase the history and beauty and diversity of Jakarta's culture in the appearance of modern technology. One of them is Hologram Exhibition that displays the face of Jakarta from time to time through a hologram installation.

Hologram Exhibition Creator, Adi Panuntun assessed that Jakarta's historical context needs to be delivered with unusual media as history in delivering its message tends to be trapped in old ways. As a result, the millennial as the main target, cannot handle it well.

"This is one of the ways we deliver the historical message," he expressed, at the location, Monday (7/22).

Moreover, media technology must also be close to the function of industry 4.0 in the current digital era, which is why hologram techniques use it that is combined into forming illusion.

 

Jakarta Transportation Agency Head, Edy Junaedi added that there are also light exhibition and video mapping performance.

"It’s held to further increase the number of tourists visiting the Monas," he told.

The event itself will be staged from July 23-31 at Tugu Monas National History Museum. Surely this is open to the public.

"We target 100,000 visitor every day from the event," he stated.
