The Dharma Siwi Kindergarten, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta is holding a national movement for parents reading books (Gernas Baku) for children.

"It will also trigger interest in reading and bring the relationship between children and parents closer," said Dharma Siwi Kindergarten Principal, Mimin Suratminah, Saturday (7/27).
On the other hand, Dharma Siwi Foundation Caretaker, Djamillah Dany Sukma appreciates it and plans to make it as a monthly routine agenda.
"Parents also support us. Before holding it, we had socialized this event to them," she explained.
North Jakarta Region I Education Sub-agency Head, R Budi Sulisiono explained that this kindergarten is a private school whose management that is collaborated with Jakarta Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP).
"This is an example of the form of private and government collaboration in the field of education," he explained.
His party is also about to implement a curriculum involving parents in educating children. They will attend and be involved in learning and teaching activities in schools.
"Parents can provide their experience and knowledge to students. It is an example that hopefully can raise up our golden generation," he said.
