6,000 Mall Visitors Throng Ornamental Fish Exhibition

As many as 6,000 people visit the Ornamental Fish Contest and Exhibition staged in the mall parking Plaza Kalibata, South Jakarta that was held on July 31-August 4, 2019.

"The mall was chosen as it is very crowded by people," expressed Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Agency Head, Darjamuni, Monday (8/5).

Until Sunday, Ornamental Fish Contest and Exhibition Held at Plaza Kalibata Mall

It acted to revive the beginning of ornamental fish business in Jakarta since the vacuum in 2006. Seeing the enthusiasm of visitors, similar event will also be held next year on a larger scale.

During the event, 20 out of 53 booths managed to collect earnings by Rp 60 million. 

"This case certainly drives the economy of the community," he told.

Therefore socialization on ornamental business will be conducted intensively, considering this is promising as a primary or additional income.

"This is a very good thing and our spirit to arouse ornamental fish production," he stressed.
