Disparbud: Foreign Tourist Visit to Jakarta Increases

Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department (Disparbud) informs there is an increase of foreign tourist visit to Jakarta Year on Year (YoY) in 2018-2019 by 4.70 percent. Total foreign tourists visit to Jakarta by June 2018 is 182,943 visits while this June reaches 191,550 visits.

"Total foreign tourists who have visited Jakarta from January to June 2019 reaches 1,138,059 visits," mentioned Edy Junaedi, Jakarta Disparbud Head, Monday (8/5).

He informed, foreign tourists who visit Jakarta the most in June 2019 are from China with total 27,189 visits; then Saudi Arabia with 23,294 visits; Malaysia with 14,620 visits; Japan with 14,445 visits; and Singapore with 12,765 visits. Around 50.51 percent of them stay at the star-rated hotel around 2.96 days on average.

"Seeing an increase in number of foreign tourist visit to Jakarta, we are optimistic hotel's occupancy rate in Jakarta is improving," he asserted.

Related to this, Jakarta Disparbud is committed to increase foreign tourist visit, hotel occupancy rate, and average length of stay.

"We will keep making new innovations," he stated.
