SDA Unit Cleans Four Water Channels in Kelapa Gading

We clean it by dredging mud sedimentation from the channels

North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-department cleans up 4 water channels at RW 08 and RW 14 of Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village, RW 15 and RW 16 of Kelapa Gading Timur Urban Village, Kelapa Gading Sub-district.

Kelapa Gading Urban Village SDA Unit Head, Rukmana informed, channel at RW 18 has length of 5,000 meters; while 1,000 meters channel at RW 04; 400 meters channel at RW 15; and 1,000 meters channel at RW 16.

"We clean it by dredging mud sedimentation from the channels. This work is conducted gradually since June. We are targeting to clean all the channels in the next 1.5 months," he said, Thursday (8/8).

He informed, those channels has depth around 80 centimeters in average with mud sedimentation thickness about 60-70 centimeters.

"We clean this channel to anticipate inundation that could be happened ahead of rainy season," he added.
