PT MRT Jakarta signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop the operational capacity and operation of urban railways with Seoul Metro, South Korea, Thursday (8/15).

The signing was done by PT MRT President Director William Sabandar and Seoul Metro's CEO, Taeho Kim at the MRT office, Nusantara Building on 22nd floor, Jalan Sudirman, Central Jakarta.

Aside that, its cooperation also included exploration in the development of operations and management of operations control centers (OCC), development capability of rolling stock and depot maintenance, development of knowledge on the ability of Smart Automatic Mechanical Big Data Analysis-system (SAMBA), as well as smart station.
"They (Seoul Metro) are one of the world-class operators who have managed eight networks with 340 km tracks. So we need to study from the reliability of their operations," he stated.
