Improving people’s welfare is among Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan’s areas to focus on in his second year in the office. Especially in Jakarta, many things can be done to lighten disabled people's burden, as was done yesterday regarding the distribution of a Jakarta Disability Card (KPDJ) at the Matraman Sports Center, East Jakarta.

To propagate it, the Jakarta Provincial Government continues to record and accommodate the underprivileged disabled that are unregistered as card recipients. To get the card, they can come to the nearest urban village office to be registered in the Integrated Database (BDT).

If the registration is complete, the data will be verified and sent to the Social Ministry for further action.

"The BDT would be a reference for us to distribute aid to the needy," he explained.

Based on his data, around 7,137 people were registered in the BDT. In overall, there are 14,549 people listed in the system.

"We'll continue to do data collection through jemput bola system service through the data and information center officers and Dasa Wisma cadres," he stressed.

As the information, every recipient is eligible for financial aid amounting to Rp 300,000 per month per person. It is injected in cumulative amounts every three months.

While those who do not have legal skills to conduct banking transactions can provide a Power of Attorney to a trusted person. That is they simply bring it, as well as the giver and proxy's ID cards.

As for the underage recipient can be represented by a parent or guardian by bringing the family card and birth card.

To disburse the money, just come to the Bank DKI office and its ATM or other ATMs.
