3 Stages Enliven Jakarta Muharram Festival

Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department (Disparbud) ensures all three stages installed at Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI) are ready to use for Jakarta Muharram Festival (JMF) event starting this afternoon.

"Yesterday, last coordination meeting has been done led by Governor. Our preparation now reaches 95 percent. Hopefully this event to run well according to the plan," stated Edy Junaedi, Jakarta Disparbud Head, Saturday (8/31).
There are three big stages. Two stages are installed in Bundaran HI for on air and live event, while the other is installed in front of Menara BCA. His side is targeting 20-25 thousand people to visit this event.
Parking Lots Prepared for JMF"In the future, we are planning to hold this event annually," he expressed.
Meanwhile, Person in Charge for Torchlight Parade and JMF Off Air, Sarah Kaseda stated, preparation for JMF's performance and event schedule are ready by 95 percent.
"Overall, we are ready," she asserted.
She informed, Ustad Maulana, Ustad Syam, Opick, Takaeda, Kotak, Wali, Alpha Plus and Rampak Bedug will perform at the first stage. Next, Potret, Hijab, Pasha & Band, Sufi Dancer and Fire Dance to perform at second stage. While Wika Salim, Kanda Brothers, Koes Plus Junior and Jiung Band at the third stage.
"All performers will start to perform from 5 PM to 11 PM at the main stages," she mentioned.
According to her, there will be 27 thousand representatives from five Jakarta administrative cities and 1 regency who are participating in Torchlight Parade.
"We are using electric torchlight. Parade will be started from Arjuna Wiwaha Chariot Statue to Bundaran HI. For on air event, participants will perform flash mob," she explained.
Based on beritajakarta.id observation on the field this afternoon, three main stages have been installed. Some committees are working on finishing the stage installation such as musical instruments and speakers.
