Flower Pots Made of Used Tires Ready to Beautify East Jakarta Roads"It is an innovation in line with the concept of environmentally friendly," said North Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency Head, Adrian Mata Maulana, Tuesday (9/3).
Collaborating the North Jakarta Forestry Sub-agency, this innovation is targeted to be complete in October. Those old tires will also be reused as a pot for plants, like telo-telo (or climbing door).
On the sheet pile's wall, the plant type likuanyu will be planted thus it looks green and able to improve air quality in Jakarta.
Hopefully the sheet pile can
absorb river water optimally."This innovation lies on the left side of the riverbank and the right side is for the sidewalk and greening by optimizing plants," he stated.
