Kalianyar Citizens Asked Certainty of Row Village Program

Citizens of Kalianyar Urban Village, Tambora, West Jakarta, are questioning the seriousness of West Jakarta Housing and Government Buildings Sub-Department to realize the row village construction in their village. Until at the beginning of this September, related unit has yet to realize the program.

Chairman of RW 05 Kalianyar Urban Village, Jayata explained from 270 proposals in his residential, only 90 houses would be transformed into row village. They located at RW 05 spread in RT 02, 03, 04, 06, 07, 09, 10 dan 11. 

"Usually, when we send the applicant documents, the consultant will make the development plan. But until now, there is no any information," he lamented, Friday (9/5).

748 Households Crossed Out from Row Village Program

Head of West Jakarta Housing and Government Buildings Sub-Department, Rohkman Lizar asserted that his sub-department will be more selective in determining row village development. According to him, the program in West Jakarta experienced a drastic shrinkage. Of the 1,360 houses proposed to be renovated for free in the second stage, yet only 251 of them were approved.

According to Lizar, the proposal of row village program phase II is being reviewed in province level. The 251 houses to be renovated are spread in four urban villages, namely RW 02 and 05 Kalianyar, RW 04 Tambora, Cengkareng Barat, and Cengkareng Timur.

To repair their houses, each house owner gets aid as much as Rp 1.5 million per square meter, with maximum land width is 36 meters, or about Rp 54 million per family.
