This Year, South Jakarta KPKP Targets to Vaccinate 6,200 Animals

South Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-department targeted to vaccinate 6,200 animals that can transmit rabies (HPR) this year.

South Jakarta KPKP Sub-department Acting Head (Plt), Yuli stated, her side has vaccinated 4,332 animals from January to September 26 period.

"We are optimistic to reach our target," she asserted, Wednesday (10/2).

South Jakarta Holds Free Vaccination for Animals Until October 3

She explained, rabies vaccination is given based on Regional Regulation (Perda) No. 11/1995 and Governor Regulation (Pergub) No. 199/2016 about Controling Animal That Can Transmit Rabies.

According to him, vaccination is also done to ensure South Jakarta to be free from rabies and protect the residents from zoonotic disease, especially animals.

"Since 2004, Jakarta is known as a rabies-free region," she mentioned.
