The Tourism and Culture Sub-agency assisted by Thousand Islands people will hold the North Thousand Festival on the Kelapa Island Soccer Field, North Thousand Islands Sub-district, Saturday (8/12). People can enjoy this festival for free.

Thousand Islands Tourism and Culture Sub-agency Head Cucu Ahmad Kurnia said this festival is initiated by the Karang Taruna and Tourism Awareness Community (Pokdarwis) in Kelapa Island and Harapan Island urban villages.
It is held to advance the tourism sector and increase tourist visits to North Thousand Islands region.

"Our target is 2,000 tourists," he added.
North Thousand Festival Chief Executive Suhendra expressed, to achieve the target, his side along with the Pokdarwis and homestay owners continue to conduct promotion tourist packages to customers and tourists.
"Our homestay is available in Kelapa Island and Harapan Island urban villages," he said.
