October 05-26, East Jakarta Theater Festival Held at Pondok Kelapa PPSB

East Jakarta Administration holds East Jakarta Theater Festival at Pondok Kelapa Cultural Art Training Center (PPSB) Building, Duren Sawit, on October 05-26, 2019. There are 12 theater groups that will entertain the visitors in this event.

This time, East Jakarta Theater Festival is participated by 12 theater groups

East Jakarta Tourism and Culture Sub-department (Sudinparbud) Head, Henry Wardana stated, this event is held to give opportunity for theater performers to show their skills to public.

"This time, East Jakarta Theater Festival is participated by 12 theater groups," he stated, Sunday (10/6).  

February-Now, PPSB Has Trained 600 People Through 22 Training Courses

In this event, his side collaborates with East Jakarta Theater Community to involve all theater groups in East Jakarta in this event.

At first, there were 20 theater groups participating in this event. However, 8 groups were eliminated in the selection process. For the next stage, the remaining 12 groups will compete in this event.

The winners will get trophies, certificates, and coaching money prizes. For the first winner will get Rp 12.5 million, then Rp 10 million for the second, and Rp 8.5 million for the third.

"The fourth will get Rp 7.5 million and fifth Rp 6.5 million," he explained.

One of the theater performers, Ine Febriyanti stated, this festival can be a good place for theater performers to show their skills and abilities.

Besides, she assessed, this festival can improve the performers' creativity in theater.

"We are highly appreciates this theater festival because it makes theater performers to be more valued and it gives us a space to express our creativity through theater," she mentioned.
