1,482 Books are Available at MRT Station Book Corner

Reading culture is a positive new lifestyle and must be encouraged

PT MRT Jakarta has succeeded in collecting 1,482 reading books resulting from passenger donations. The books are distributed in book corners in several stations.

It is one of the efforts to support the culture of reading in public spaces.

MRT Jakarta to Equip Several Stations with Book Corner

"Reading culture is a positive new lifestyle and must be encouraged," expressed William Sabandar, President Director of PT MRT Jakarta, Friday (10/11).

Those 1,482 books are available at some stations. They are HI Roundabout (174 are in the donation box and 184 are available on the shelf), Dukuh Atas BNI (153 are in the donation box and 66 are on the shelf, Setiabudi (3 are on the shelf), Benhil (77 are on the shelf), Istora Mandiri (40 are on the shelf), Senayan (39 are on the shelf), ASEAN (63 are on the shelf), Blok M BCA (35 are on the shelf), Blok A (30 are on the shelf) and Haji Nawi (52 are on the shelf).

There are also Cipete Raya Station (9 are on the shelf), Fatmawati (52 are on the shelf) and Lebak Bulus (241 are in the donation box and 266 are on the shelf).

"The book itself will continue to increase in line with the number of people who want to donate books," he stated.
