Commission A Discusses KUA-PPAS Regarding Satpol PP

The Jakarta Council (DPRD)'s Commission A began to hold a meeting about the 2020 budget priorities and preliminary threshold (KUA-PPAS) regarding Satpol PP that has proposed an activity budget by Rp 1.1 trillion, Friday (11/1). 

In details, from Rp 1.1 trillion, Rp 313 of them is for direct expenditure and Rp 845 billion is for indirect.

Commission A: Smart City must Be Implemented Well

Jakarta Satpol PP Head Arifin said there are three new activities, namely the violation justification court of bylaw (Perkada), improvement of PPNS secretariat function and Formula E security.

"While for the denied activities are the increase in Satpol PP Corps capacity and Satpol PP coaching partners in the context of creating peace, public order and community protection," he expressed, at Jakarta Council Building, Thursday (10/31) night.

There are four activities combined in the security assistance activities. They are city's anniversary and New Year's Eve, the Supervision, car free day security, religious big day and national big days security, as well as operational picket command posts.

"This is for the effectiveness of the nomenclature of activities," he explained.

Jakarta DPRD's Commission A Chairman Mujiyono uttered Satpol PP must show a humanistic impression to the citizens in running their duties. They need to put forward a persuasive approach to small communities who break the bylaw.

"It doesn't mean a meek person who has a humanist look does not mean lacking courage," he stressed.

But they must be stricter to people who break the bylaw and not from small communities.

"You must be more ferocious in front of the entertainment entrepreneurs who break the bylaw," he closed.
