Public Housing Occupants in East Jakarta Trained to Handle Fire

East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-department educated hundreds occupants of BLK Pasar Rebo Public Housing, Susukan, Ciracas about fire early prevention.

We hope this training could reduce number of fire cases happened in public housing in East Jakarta

East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-department Acting Head (Plt), Muchtar Zakaria mentioned, this training was held on the ground floor of Tower A. Most of the participants were housewives who learned both theory and practice about fire prevention and fire handling.

In this chance, they were taught how to use gas stove and electric devices properly and to extinguish fire using wet towel and fire extinguisher (APAR).

Sharing Fire Prevention Knowledge to 130 Members of Scout Movement

"We hope this training could reduce number of fire cases happened in public housing in East Jakarta," he conveyed, Friday (11/1).

BLK Pasar Rebo Public Housing Service Unit Head, Wawan Gunawan conveyed his appreciation to Gulkarmat for holding this training.

Because this training could encourage the occupants to be more careful in using gas stove and electric devices.

"This training is participated by public housing's occupants, administration staffs, janitors, security guards, technicians, and others," he informed.
