Beach Restoration in Thousand Islands Approved

The term restoration is to restore beaches affected by abrasion. We agreed to a budget of around Rp. 24 billion

The Jakarta DPRD's Commission D approved the coastal restoration budget proposal in the Thousand Islands from the Thousand Islands Water Resources Sub-agency in the 2020 budget priorities and preliminary threshold (KUA-PPAS), on Tuesday (11/5).

"The term restoration is to restore beaches affected by abrasion. We agreed to a budget of around Rp. 24 billion. Because our target is to bring in foreign tourists," disclosed Jakarta DPRD's Commission D Chairperson Ida Mahmudah

KUA-PPAS Discussion Gets Appreciation

At the same time, Thousand Islands Water Resources Sub-agency Head Mustajab explained, in 2020, he planned to restore beaches on Untung and Tidung islands and will be continued by planting 20 cherry blossom trees.

"In the future, we'll develop beach spots for locals and tourists," he stated.
