Ornamental Fish Cultivators Educated About Risk Management

60 ornamental fish farming communities were educated about risk management at Center for Health Services and Animal Husbandry of East Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-department, Pondok Ranggon, Cipayung.

We want to facilitate ornamental fish sellers to be better in shipment

East Jakarta KPKP Sub-department's Fishery Section Head, Supriyadi Saleh said, this event is held through cooperation with Marine and Fisheries Ministry's Fish Quarantine, Fisheries Product Quality, and Safety Control Agency in order to follow up aspirations of ornamental fish farmers and cultivators in the region.

"Through education about risk management and prevention, we want to facilitate ornamental fish sellers to be better in shipment," he conveyed, Tuesday (11/19).

According to him, 60 participants are came from five ornamental fish communities in East Jakarta; Maju Bersama Group from Ciracas, Pokdakan Guppy Jakarta, members of Cipayung Integrated Entrepreneurship Training (PKT) program, and Jatinegara Fish Seller Community.

"Usually, these people send ornamental fish such as betta fish, discus, guppy, manfish, black ghost, goldfish, and others to various regions of Indonesia," he stated.
