Jakarta Assistant for Economy and Financial, Sri Haryati mentioned, even though food stock ahead of Christmas and New Year is increased only around 5 percent, her side still needs to ensure food stock in Jakarta remain safe.

Two Years of Anies Baswedan Serving as GovernorMeanwhile, Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Department's Food Distribution Section Head, Imam Wahyudi mentioned that based on his analysis, there is an increase in the need of staple food stock from December until new year period.
There is increase in demand of rice around 83,191 tons; then 410 tons of peanuts; 3,340 tons of shallot; 2,581 tons of chili; 6,915 tons of meat; 11,965 tons of purebred chicken; 9,015 tons of egg; 6,997 tons of sugar; and 8,093 tons of cooking oil.
Meanwhile, demand for staple food in September-November 2019 period consists of rice around 79,229 tons; 390 tons of peanuts; 3,180 tons of shallot; 2,459 tons of chili; 6,585 tons of meat; 11,395 tons of purebred chicken; 8,585 tons of meat; 6,663 tons of sugar; and 7,707 tons of cooking oil.
"Based on that data, food stock especially staple food for strategic and other important events such as Christmas and New Year is quite enough and safe," he stated.
