Every day, we can collect five kilograms of waste comprising glasses, boxes, newspapers, magazines and so on

As conducted by one of PPSU members Wawan (55), every day, he and his colleagues routinely collect non-organic waste to be recycled and resold.

"Every day, we can collect five kilograms of waste comprising glasses, boxes, newspapers, magazines and so on. After that we keep them in the waste bank," he expressed, Friday (11/22).

He cited, the selling price of used glass mineral waste is Rp 5,000 per kg, used plastic mineral bottles Rp 3,500 per kg, mineral water bottle caps Rp 500 per kg, boxes Rp 1,500 per kg and newspapers Rp 500 per kg.

"We use the money for refreshing and for social activities," he explained.

While the compost produced today is only from dried leaves that have been processed and then packaged in 1 kg and is sold for Rp 3,000 per pack.
