Commission B Chairman, Abdul Azis asked PT. Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) to build communication with art performers or artists more intensively regarding Jakarta Taman Ismail Marzuki Art Center (PKJ TIM) revitalization in Menteng, Central Jakarta.
It is planned with a good purpose, especially for our artists
According to him, good communication and discussion is very important to deliver well Jakarta Government's plan to revitalize PKJ TIM to be a world-class cultural art center.
"PT. Jakpro should talk more with the artists. Thus Jakarta Government's and their perception can be in line. I think its problem is only in communicating it," he assessed, Wednesday (11/27).
TIM Still Becomes The Creative Space for Art PerformersAfter Commission B monitored the location and got explanation about PKJ TIM revitalization, he continued, his side viewed it as a part of integration because the building will be equipped with rooms that can be used by artists from outside Jakarta or abroad to stay overnight.
"It is planned with a good purpose, especially for our artists. Because currently we don't have place to stay overnight for artists who will perform at TIM. Thus hopefully through this revitalization, city can provide special place for them to stay," he mentioned.
According to him, Jakarta Provincial Government has taken the initiative to empower artists by providing creative space with better standard.
"Thus they just need to focus to do their best in creating great masterpiece," he closed.
