DRD Holds FGD to Overcome Social Economic Issues in Border Areas

The Jakarta Research Council (FGD) opened a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Study of Alternative Solutions to the Socioeconomic Issues of the Jakarta Border Area with Regencies or Cities, on Thursday (11/28).

This is to provide input related to poverty alleviation and the development of collaborative cooperation around Jakarta

It was held in the Multipurpose Room, 9th floor of the Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement (PRKP) Agency, Jalan Jatibaru, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

There were several participants in the discussion, namely the Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Trade (KUKMP) Agency, Social Agency, as well as neighboring cities such as Bekasi, Depok, Tangerang, Karawang and Bogor.

DRD Encourages City to Collaborate with Regions Around Jakarta

"This is to provide input related to poverty alleviation and the development of collaborative cooperation around Jakarta," expressed Jakarta DRD Chairman, Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan.

Jakarta KUKMP Agency Head Adi Ariantara added that there should be collaboration with the surrounding areas, to improve the economy in Jakarta.

"For instance, raw materials for production from outside Jakarta to support our SMEs, they need it for sure," he told.

That is why it should be realized and developed. "This is what we have to maintain," he closed.
