Commission E Approves Budget Allocation for SMK Competency Certification

The Jakarta DPRD's Commission E, approved a budget for competency certification for public and private vocational high school (SMK) students in the amount of Rp 57 billion in the 2020 City Budget Draft (RAPBD).

"This is needed and we can accept, the most important can be on target," expressed Iman Satria, Chairman of the Commission E, Thursday (12/5).

Jakarta Education Department Acting Head Syaefullah Hidayat explained that the budget was allocated to cover 72,000 students for the competency certification exam in the National Profession Standardization Agency (BNSP).

Commission E Reviews Disdik Nomenclatures in 2020 RAPBD

"We want to make sure that SMK graduates are ready to enter the world of industry or work. That's why, we need to supply them with this certificate as proof that they are competent according to their fields of expertise," he stated.
