Jakartans Prohibited to Use Private Vehicle to Bandung

All this time, Jakarta residents who take vacation to Bandung using private vehicles has worsened traffic congestion in Bandung city. To resolve it, Mayor of Bandung, Ridwan Kamil met Jakarta Vice Governor Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama at City Hall and ask Jakartans ride train if they visit to Bandung.

Mr. Kamil asked us (Jakartans) to ride train if we want to visit Bandung

"Mr. Kamil asked us (Jakartans) to ride train if we want to visit Bandung," said Basuki, at City Hall, Tuesday (9/16).

Kamil admitted he deliberately took time to meet Basuki discuss things related to development plans in Jakarta and Bandung. "We talk about train transportation while having lunch. I ask Mr. Basuki to warn Jakartans do not use private vehicle if they visit to Bandung," he explained

He also hopes Jakarta Provincial Government could conduct socialization towards Jakarta residents well. This is because socialization would be useless if the request only comes from Mayor of Bandung, instead of Jakarta Vice Governor.

"The socialization must be realized now. I believe Jakarta residents would comply with Mr. Basuki's instruction who will be the number one in the capital than me," he exclaimed.

He added that his party has also asked Director of PT KAI Ignasius Jonan to add train trips from Jakarta towards Bandung in order to smoothen such socialization.

"Jakarta problem is the same with my city (Bandung), ranging from congestion, flood, and exhaust noise. In the meeting, we also discuss about park problem where Mr. Basuki plans to add more parks in Jakarta like Bandung," he added.
