City Ensures 2019 DWP Activities Obey Rules

We do tight security for DWP activities. One of them is by checking every visitor for the prevention of alcoholism and drugs

The Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to run all laws and regulations, including in granting permits for all parties for activities in Jakarta. Nevertheless, it must go through a discussion first with reference legal provisions. If the activities proposed is positive, it will be allowed.

It was stated by City Secretary Saefullah in the press statement at the Balairung, Jakarta City Hall, Friday (12/13), regarding the 2019 Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) operating permit at JIExpo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. He explained, tourism activities were regulated in Bylaw number 6/2015 on Tourism and Gubernatorial Regulation number 18/2018 on Operation of Tourism Business.

He stated that the task of the Jakarta Provincial Government was to ensure that the implementation of these activities obeys the legal rules. The organizer filed a permit for activities that do not break the law and bylaw such as, music concert.

"The Tourism Agency has followed up this proposal through technical recommendations and its permit that have been given by the Investment and PTSP Agency. The police will support before and after the event, including Satpol PP, firefighter and medical officers," he explained, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

Jakarta Tourism and Culture Agency Acting Head Alberto Ali added that the agency had summoned the organizer on December 10 and they gave a written commitment that they will obey the rules. He also made coordination with Polda Metro Jaya and BNNP to ensure the event goes well.

"We do tight security for DWP activities. One of them is by checking every visitor for the prevention of alcoholism and drugs," he stressed.

In its execution, they (DWP) should obey all rules, especially related to alcohol, drug bans and anarchist action.

"The city has the authority to revoke the permit if there are deviations," he asserted.

Aside that, the city would dispatch Satpol PP officers assisted by Polda Metro Jaya and BNNP at the location of the activity.
