City Opens Millennial Sport Branch in 2019 FORST

The 2019 All-Year Folk Sports Festival (FORST) at Jakarta Provincial level held at Kalijodo Children-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA), West Jakarta. This FORST has Millennial Sport Branch consists of skateboard and BMX.

In the other hand, basketball competition will be held at Pulogadung Sub-district Youth Sports Venue (GOR) with total around 600 participants.

Jakarta Youth and Sport Department (Dispora), Achmad Firdaus conveyed, FORST's Millennial Sport Branch is opened to develop sports as a lifestyle and improve social interaction and friendly relation between the residents.

"All-Year Folk Sports Festival is one of Jakarta's biggest events," he expressed, Thursday (12/19).

According to him, this sport festival is also held as a forum and medium of sport coaching, improve the health, as well as a way to find the potential athletes.

"Including to ensure equitable access to sports in the community," he added.

Meanwhile, West Jakarta Secretary, Eldi Andi conveyed, this event is very positive since it can be used as a medium to improve community's social interaction through sport.

"FORST is expected to encourage millennial generation to achieve more and develop themselves in sport," he asserted.
