The city-owned public transportation operator LRT Jakarta has prepared 51 spots of space for retail with a total area of 986.5 square meters at six existing stations. It purposes to boost company revenue, especially from non-farebox business.
PT LRT Jakarta's Finance and Development Director Rudy Hartono said, besides relying on ticket sales, his side is about to earn income from renting empty space at its station. In addition, his party also offers ad media and telecommunications services.

There are currently 35 retail investors that have been selected. By early 2020, it is expected that the tender could be conducted.
