MRT Jakarta Provides Special Pin for Priority Passengers

MRT Jakarta has provided special pin for priority passengers since Monday (1/6) thus they can be easier in accessing the facilities in each stations.

This pin is only provided for elderly passengers, pregnant women, blind people, people with physical disability, and people with chronic diseases

PT. MRT Jakarta Corporate Secretary Division Head, Muhammmad Kamaluddin said, passengers who wear the pin can use special facilities such as elevator, wide passenger gate (gate as wide as 90 centimeters), and priority seats inside Ratangga train.

"This pin is only provided for elderly passengers (more than 60 years old), pregnant women, blind people, people with physical disability (wheelchair users, then people who use crutches, prosthetic limbs, and others), and people with chronic diseases," he explained, Thursday (1/9).

According to him, priority passengers can obtain this pin for free by calling MRT call center at 1500 332 and inform their personal identity, phone number, priority passenger category, and choose the station to take the pin.

"Pin can be obtained at designated station two days after registration by bringing copy of identity documents that is previously used to register. Especially for pregnant women, they also need to bring medical certificate or pregnancy examination result," he stated.
