SDA Head Distributes School Supplies for Cipinang Melayu Flood Victims

Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Department Head, Juani Yusuf distributed assistance for RW 04 residents after flood in Cipinang Melayu Urban Village, Makasaar, East Jakarta.

Today, i want to give them 100 packages of school supplies containing uniforms and books

According to him, RW 04 is one of the areas affected by flood in Greater Jakarta on the early of this January.

"Today, I want to give them 100 packages of school supplies containing uniforms and books," he mentioned after giving it symbolically to the flood victims at Secretariat Office, RW 04, Cipinang Melayu Urban Village, Saturday (1/25).

Flood Victims in Cipinang Muara Received Assistance

He expected this assistance could lighten their burden, especially to fulfill children's basic needs to go to school.

"It becomes our concern, especially from SDA Department. I hope children can be encouraged to go to school because education is important," he asserted.

Meanwhile, Feriska Abya Ikhsyiana, one of RT 07/04 residents who received the assistance conveyed her gratefulness.

"I am a student from SDN Cipinang Melayu 05. Thank you for this school supply because my uniform and books were damaged due to flood," she explained.

Cipinang Melayu Urban Village's RW 04 Head, Irwan Kurniadi stated, extreme rainfall occurred from early January that caused 8 RTs in RW 04 were flooded.

"It was affected 1,050 families with total more than 3,000 people," he stated.
