It caused traffic congestion along Jalan Otista Raya, Jalan Jatinegara Barat, and Jalan Jatinegara Timur. There was no protest from public minivan drivers and they only resigned.
Sub-Directorate Head of Training and Law Enforcement for City Police Traffic Unit, Adj. Sr. Cmr. Hindarsono disclosed his party has targeted the Kampung Melayu Bus Terminal due to he received many complaints from local residents. Every day, hundreds of public minivans often seen pick up and drop off passengers outside terminal and conduct contra flow, causing congestion, particularly at rush hour.
