382 Vehicles Netted in Illegal Parking Raid in Central Jakarta

The illegal parking raid conducted by Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department together with the police since September 8 until now has been successfully netted 382 vehicles.

In a week, 382 vehicles were netted in tow and retribution operation held in eight sub-districts in Central Jakarta

“In a week, 382 vehicles were netted in tow and retribution operation held in eight sub-districts in Central Jakarta,” stated Head of Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department Monitoring and Control Section, Harlem Simanjuntak, Wednesday (9/17).

The actions took to those 382 vehicles consist of 85 public transports made dossier (BAP), 95 cars and 109 motorcycles removed their tire valves, 24 motorcycles picked up, 49 cars and motorcycles made dossier in Central Jakarta Resort Police Traffic Unit, and 19 cars towed for parking on roadsides.

“19 cars and one metromini grounded and fined for Rp 500 thousand,” told Simanjuntak.

As known, the vehicles parked on roadsides are one of the causes of traffic congestion in the capital city. Thus, Jakarta Provincial Government is currently vigorously holding illegal parking raid as an effort to resolve traffic congestion problem.
